Pastor Frank, Belen and Sydney Luna

April 21,1982, marked a turning point for a broken young man living in El Paso, Texas. Pastor Frank Luna’s decision that day would ultimately alter the course of his life from a young man graduating in the top ten percent of his class, on his way to an Ivy League school, while deeply steeped in a life of drug addiction and alcoholism.

That turning point, came when that young man accepted Jesus Christ, as his Lord and Saviour.  From that day forward, he became a completely changed individual, with a passion for Christ, and helping others to know Jesus.  The radical change was nothing short of a miracle!

A few years after giving his life to Christ, Pastor Luna met and married his wife, Belen, who attended The Door Church, in El Paso, TX, as well.

As a young and newly married couple, they became part of the staff as Door Directors at the church.  Shortly after, in November of 1986, Pastor Frank and Belen answered the call of God on their lives to pioneer a church, first in Austin, Texas, then on to Springfield, Oregon, in July of 1989.  After leaving a thriving work, that is still powering forward today, Pastor Luna and Belen returned to their home church, The Door, in El Paso, Texas, as the Associate Pastors.

In November of 1995, sight unseen, they traveled cross country to Warwick, Rhode Island, to pioneer their third church.

For the last 25 years, Pastor Luna, Belen and their daughter, Sydney, have faithfully served their congregation and community in Rhode Island, discipling and enabling people to pursue God’s will and plan for their lives.
